Kindling sticks are the easiest way to get a fire going. Each pack is filled with neatly cut, uniform sticks that catch quickly and build a strong base of flame for your logs or coal. Ideal for open fires, multi-fuel stoves, wood burners, chimineas and fire pits across Newtownards and the Ards Peninsula.
Why use kindling sticks?
- Fast, reliable lighting: thin, cut sticks catch quickly so your fire takes hold first time
- Tidy and easy to store: shrink-wrapped packs keep the sticks together and clean
- Great value: only £3 a pack, so it’s easy to keep a few in for the winter
- Works with any fuel: use with our logs and firewood, household coal or smokeless fuel
How to light a fire with kindling
Place a firelighter or some scrunched newspaper in the grate, lay 4–6 kindling sticks over it in a criss-cross or teepee shape, and light. Once the kindling is burning well, add a few small logs or a little coal, then build up gradually.
